This is what I think of as a "coffee break" training. It's a text-based micro-course with short lessons that you can complete super quickly. There are no videos.
Buying the toolkit grants you access to the training materials for one or two years, depending on which option you select. It does not renew. There is a 7 day refund policy.
It's focused on opportunities for international medical students/graduates. It's not really aimed at US med students, because they have so many options open to them already.
A big focus of this training is on how you can create their own opportunities for USCE via networking and reaching out to physicians and programs directly. But, that takes time.
For those who are pressed for time, I have put together a searchable database to help international medical students and graduates find opportunities more quickly.
For the sake of transparency, the database is composed mostly of links to programs that offer electives aimed at students still enrolled in medical school, and observerships for grads.
If you have graduated, know that there are very few hospital-based programs left that will permit you to come in and do externships. Some of the ones that do will have you working with standardized patients (actors pretending to be patients). Those programs can be very expensive.
Again, my recommendation for graduates is that you create your own observerships.
The observership that you create yourself may offer hands-on experiences that allow you to do more than just observe.
I created this training to help you do just that.
Good luck, and may the residency match algorithm be ever in your favor!
